April 29, 2017 @ 5:30 PM - 10:00 PM

Event Navigation

Are you ready for an Attack? Mass Attack Roller Derby (MARD) will be hosting their first doubleheader derby home game of 2017 at Carousel Family Fun Center on April 29th.

The first game of this dual derby day will be a WFTDA sanctioned game. The home team, Mass Attack All Stars will be launching their weapons against the Suburban Brawl of Westchester County, New York. WFTDA (Women’s Flat Track Roller Derby) is the international governing body of flat track roller derby. MARD, a skater-operated and owned 501(c)3 organization, is Southeastern Massachusetts’ WFTDA member league. MARD is bringing out the big guns for this one!

Our second match will be the battle of Fairhaven’s own Bloody Bordens as they are prepared to punish Suburbia’s second travel team, the Backyard Bullies. Our athletes are sure to bring an aggressive display of a contact sport coupled with strategic, engaging game play. Fans, bring your armor! These two games are going to leave you ready for war!

MARD’s “Attack on Suburbia” will be hosted at their home location, Carousel Family Fun Center, located at 4 David Brown Blvd. Fairhaven, MA. In addition to April 29th, MARD will also host doubleheaders on May 20th, June 24th, and July 22nd.

Doors will open to the public at 5:15 pm. Make sure to bring a chair, as provided seating fills up quickly. There are raffles and merchandise to purchase, along with engaging activities for fans of all ages. Beer and other beverages are available for purchase by patrons providing proper ID at our Tipsy Carousel. The rink’s snack bar is always available for all who wish to curb their hunger and thirst.

Tickets are available through Brown Paper Ticket for $10 at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/2893944, and also through MARD’s website at www.massattackrollerderby.com, under Games. Tickets can also be purchased at the door for $12, with children 10 and under getting in for free.
