TAUNTON — Nicole Caplin doesn’t mind taking a hit, as long as it’s for a worthy cause. The 26-year-old Randolph resident is a member of the all-female Mass Attack Roller Derby (MARD), a full-contact roller derby league consisting of four teams, including a traveling all-star team. Caplin — who goes by the derby moniker of Yerwerst NME, and plays both with the all-star contingent and a team known as Mass Murdah — will be among some three-dozen young women skating tonight at Taunton’s Silver City Sports Complex at 1 Lawton Ave./Route 138.
